“Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors." — African Proverb
Sodiq Kolade holds a degree in mechanical engineering but considers content writing his primary field of expertise. As an accomplished writer, researcher, creative storyteller, mental health advocate, and whole-body health enthusiast, he uses his writing talent and skills to help others become the best version of themselves.
The COVID-19 era was a turning point in Sodiq’s life. While many were unemployed, he worked for an online news website — for 11 months straight, with no weekends or holidays off. Despite the mental and emotional trauma from the pandemic and burnout from working without breaks, his resilience carried him through. His ability to thrive amid adversity instilled enough self-belief to last him his entire career.
When he's not writing, you’ll often find Sodiq being run ragged by his exuberant son, a toddler who doesn't seem to run out of energy. To relax, he loves playing and watching soccer. His favorite pastime is binge-watching Friends for the umpteenth time. Sometimes, Sodiq starts a new series (when he's on a break from Friends, of course) but he then abandons it and returns to his beloved Friends.
